Alloy Polymers Celebrates 1,000 Safe Days at Gahanna, Ohio Site

Richmond, Virginia -- Alloy Polymers, Inc. today announced that its Gahanna, Ohio site had surpassed 1,000 days without a reportable safety incident.

“Safety is our number one focus at all of our plants, but today we take time for special recognition of our Gahanna associates for their outstanding performance in safely operating their plant,” commented Charles Chiappone, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our Gahanna associates serve as excellent examples to the compounding industry of what can be achieved in safety.”

Commenting on the site’s performance Production Leader Scott Swick stated “We are proud of our outstanding safety record here in Gahanna. Our 1,000 days is a great accomplishment, but it is a continuation of a six year history of one of the best safety records in the industry. Our team is committed to safe practices in all that we do.”

The celebration included a company provided meal, comments by the Company’s Chairman, Kamini Pahuja, as well as special recognition shirts to mark the milestone.

The Gahanna associates were also recognized in 2009 for their safety performance and associates received a 2.5% bonus for their safety commitment.

Alloy Polymers, Inc., founded in 1987 and headquartered in Richmond, VA, provides compounding and related services to companies worldwide. It operates four facilities in Virginia, Ohio, and Texas and employs more than 250 associates.
