Texas Governor Perry Announces Expansion Grant To Alloy Polymers

Austin, Tx., October 25, 2006

Gov. Rick Perry today announced that Alloy Polymers Inc., is bringing 52 new jobs to Crockett and investing $15 million in the community to expand its facilities there.

"I am pleased that the Texas Enterprise Fund played a pivotal role in the company's decision to expand in Texas," Perry said. "The Enterprise Fund continues to be the most successful job-closing fund in the nation, and now it is bringing good-paying jobs to Crockett."

Texas competed with locations in Richmond, Va.; Gahanna, Ohio; and several sites in Tennessee for the expansion project. Alloy Polymers is a market leader in specialty, high-value added compounding services and solutions in the thermoplastics industry.

As part of its expansion, the company will add an additional production line and equipment, as well as increase the overall footprint of the facility to accommodate the increased capacity.

"I want to thank Senator Steve Ogden, the local economic development community and Alloy Polymers for this successful project coming to Crockett," Perry said.

To date, the TEF has announced more than 43,000 jobs and $9 billion in capital investments from TEF grants.
